Canberra Connect, a business unit within the Territory and Municipal Services Directorate, is an integrated service provider connecting the ACT community with the Government of the Australian Capital Territory for information, payments, services and emergency support.
Operating since 2000, Canberra Connect now employs over 170 permanent and contract staff, operating at 6 sites across the Territory.
Canberra Connect is well known amongst the Canberra community through its service operations - Canberra Connect Shopfronts, Canberra Connect Contact Centre (13 22 81), and the Canberra Connect online services portal at www.canberraconnect.act.gov.au.
Canberra Connect Mission
To deliver to the community high quality, integrated information, payments, services and emergency support on behalf of the ACT Government.
Canberra Connect can help you with:
- Paying ACT Government accounts including registrations, rates, pre-paid parking vouchers, infringements, public housing rent, permit fees and more.
- Motor vehicle transactions including registration renewals, vehicle transfers and driver licences.
- Finding the right person to talk to in any ACT Government agency.
- Finding information about driver licences, rebates and concessions, foot paths and bike paths, dog registration, waste and recycling, public holidays and daylight saving dates, parks, festivals and events and most other ACT Government services.
- Reporting problems to the ACT Government including fallen trees, damaged paths, broken streetlights, faulty parking meters, roaming dogs, injured wildlife, syringes and other issues of public safety or concern.
- Booking ACT Government services and facilities such as camp sites, water-ski timeslots, vehicle inspections and driver licence tests.
- Getting assistance with lost and found dogs, changing your address with ACT Government agencies or requesting an extra wheelie bin.
