X Film Licence

A company or individual wishing to copy or sell X rated films (including video, CD ROM and DVD versions) must apply for an X film licence. This licence can be issued for copying or selling or for copying and selling X films. Licences are subject to a number of conditions.

X film licences are issued in respect of premises located in the ACT divisions of Fyshwick, Mitchell and Hume only. The block and section details will be recorded on any licence issued. A licence may be for more than one premises.

A number of forms are required when lodging an application, all of which are included in the application package. Police records checks and other documents supporting the application are required.

Office of Regulatory Services will contact the applicant when eligibility for the licence has been decided and will advise the applicant about the licence fees payable.
