There are two ways in which you may apply for registration as a veterinary surgeon. The manner in which you apply depends on whether you hold a current registration as a veterinary surgeon in another state or territory in Australia or New Zealand, or alternatively, whether you are not registered in another state or territory or NZ, but have the required qualifications to register - for example, if you are a new graduate or have passed the National Veterinary Examination.
The Veterinary Surgeons Initial Registration form is intended for individuals seeking registration as a veterinary surgeon in the Australian Capital Territory who are registering for the first time and are not registered in another State/Territory or New Zealand.
The Mutual Recognition/Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition (MR/TTMR) Registration form is intended for individuals seeking registration as a veterinary surgeon in the Australian Capital Territory who are registered in a State or Territory of Australia or in New Zealand and who are not applying directly from overseas.
