Transfer of Taxi Licence

A person may transfer a perpetual taxi licence (TX1 - TX217) or a transferable leased taxi licence (TX300 - TX310) to another person under section 41(3) of the Road Transport (Public Passenger Services) Act 2001. To transfer a licence the applicant must complete all sections of the transfer form and make an appointment with Road Transport for the transfer. On attending the Road Transport Authority appointment the following documents must be supplied:

• transfer form;
• sale agreement for taxi licence; and
• drivers licence of each new owner.
  

The Road Transport Authority will advise the applicant of fees payable and the identifier to use if paying online.
