Developers and contractors are responsible for the safety of workers and the public at work sites under their control. Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) measures ensure that road users can travel safely through, around or past work sites on roads, footpaths and cyclepaths. TTM usually entails the placement of directive barriers and/or signs.
To obtain approval for TTM, you must supply Roads ACT with a completed copy of the ' Temporary Traffic Management - Conditions of Operation' form and a detailed plan showing proposed TTM arrangements. Upon the resolution of any issues you will be advised to submit final plans in hard copy.
*Any excavation on road, medians, verges or car parks also requires a Road Opening Permit. This is applied for as part of your TTM application. A fee may be payable for this permit, you will be advised of fees payable upon approval of your TTM application.
