Under the Road Transport (Public Passenger Services) Act 2001 and the Road Transport (Public Passenger Services) Regulation 2002, taxi network operators must be accredited by the Road Transport Authority.
The primary purpose of the legislation is to ensure that standards of safety and service are maintained, give the community confidence in public passenger services and help ensure safe, reliable and efficient services.
The Road Transport Authority will issue an invoice notifying the operator of fees payable.
