Under the Road Transport (Public Passenger Services) Regulation 2002, leased taxi licences are issued to the defined right holder from a ballot process by the Road Transport Authority. If you are the holder of a defined right for a leased taxi licence you must become accredited and obtain a Leased Taxi Licence.
To obtain a Leased Licence the defined right holder must complete all sections of the Application for a Leased Taxi Licence form, make an appointment with the Road Transport Authority for the issue of a Leased Taxi Licence and pay the determined fee.
The Road Transport Authority will advise the applicant of fees payable and the identifier to use if paying online.
