Lease Conveyancing Enquiry

Lease conveyancing is the transfer of a Crown Lease over property from one party to another. A lease conveyancing enquiry is carried out prior to the purchase of a property and provides the potential buyer with information on the following matters:

    • any entry in the Heritage Places Register in relation to the property;
    • any applications for approval to undertake a development affecting the property;
    • any breach of the lease of the property or notice issued relating to the Crown lease;
    • a statement about any order made or under consideration in relation to the property;
    • any applications for dual occupancy affecting the property;
    • any applications for subdivision (unit title) affecting the property;
    • any certificate of compliance issued;
    • any records about contaminated land on the property.
