Gas Appliance Worker Accreditation

Under the Gas Safety Act 2000, it is an offence for a person to undertake the maintenance, repair or servicing of a Type A or Type B gas appliance unless they are accredited under the Gas Appliance Worker Accreditation Code. Gas Appliance Worker Accreditation is usually renewed annually but may be granted for up to three years.
The GA1 Application for Accreditation as a Gas Appliance Worker form is required when applying for or renewing the following types of accreditation:

• Type A
• Type A trainee
• Restricted Type B
• Restricted Type B trainee
• Type B
