Under the Water resources Act 2007, persons wishing to conduct the drilling of bores in the ACT must hold a current driller's licence. A driller's licence can be granted for a period of up to 3 years and is subject to any conditions specified in the licence. Possession of a current interstate licence equivalent to at least National Driller's Licence Class 1 standard may qualify an applicant for an ACT driller's licence.
