Business Name Cessation

If you are the owner of a business name, there are two ways you can stop using that business name.

You can advise the Office of Regulatory Services (ORS) in writing by filling out the Cessation of Business Name form and the ORS can cease the name, or you can simply ignore the Business Name renewal form when it is due for renewal.

If you wish to change your business name, you will need to cease the current name with this form, then register your new business name.
