Under the Environment Protection Act 1997 certain activities that pose environmental risk, such as collecting, storing and supplying firewood, call for an Environmental Authorisation. Environmental Authorisations set out conditions for these activities and can be individually tailored for the activity they authorise.
Once issued, an Environmental Authorisation must be renewed annually, with the first annual fee due one month after the grant date of the application.
