The Overseas Qualifications Unit (OQU) in the Office of Multicultural Affairs assesses the Australian educational comparability of overseas university qualifications. Assessments are based on national guidelines formulated by the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR).
This is a free service for citizens and residents of the ACT and Queanbeyan. Some complex cases may need to be referred to other organisations for further assessment, registration/licensing or professional advice. Fees may be charged by these organisations. Qualification documents in languages other than English must be translated by contacting the Canberra Institute of Technology on 6207 3100 prior to assessments by the OQU.
In order to have your qualifications assessed:
1. Complete the application form and attach the necessary paperwork (Original documents must be brought to your interview).
2. Arrange an interview by calling 6207 6275 (DO NOT post your application form).
